Hello from Amy...
I teach private lessons to students from elementary to advanced. My students frequently participate in music festivals, conservatory examinations, studio recitals, and local community performance events.
Thank you so much for taking the time to complete this survey—I really appreciate it! The more detail you’re able to share, the better I can understand whether piano lessons would be a great fit for your child and whether my teaching style aligns well with their needs.
I teach with the philosophy that music is a core subject—just like math or science—and an important part of a well-rounded education. Because of this, I tend to work with students and families who view music-making as a meaningful, long-term pursuit and a skill that can be developed over a lifetime.
I encourage a strong level of commitment from my students, as I’ve found that this helps them grow and get the most out of their musical journey. While it can be challenging at times, it’s also very rewarding.
If you’re looking for a more casual, once-a-week piano experience, I’d be happy to suggest other wonderful teachers in your area. And if this approach feels like a good fit for your family, I’d love for you to continue and answer the following questions as thoughtfully as you can.
